[OWBN-Council] [PROPOSAL] Character Bylaw 6 c 1&2 change

I, Johnny Russell, Council Member for Within Shadow Reach, propose the following to change the OWBN Administrative Bylaws.

Before:

6. Disciplinary Policy

C.Disciplinary Action Procedure for Council

I. There will be two representatives during every Disciplinary Action:

   Representative for the accuser(s)

This representative will be the individual who proposed the Disciplinary Action

If it is a member of the Executive Team, that member will not be permitted to be a moderator for this particular proposal.

2. Representative for the accused

If it is a member of the Executive Team, that member will not be permitted to be a moderator for this particular proposal.

Representatives for the accuser may speak about this private proposal, for the purpose of gathering information related to the case.

2. Representative for the accused

If it is a member of the Executive Team, that member will not be permitted to be a moderator for this particular proposal.

The Representative and Defendant: May discuss the proposal for the purpose of gathering a defense. The accused may also speak on the proposal to whomever they like.

Reasoning: The gag order related to private proposals was not designed to prevent the defendant from speaking to those who they need to for the defense of their case. Also preventing the defendant from talking to their support system is cruel. The gag order was never meant to suppress the voice of the defendant, but to protect them until the process of the da is complete.
