Actually a Minor Rite for Garou

This rite Must be preformed daily for 7 days, specifically during the day's major meal .  After the meal is on the plate but before any is eaten say a prayer in thanks to the spirits.  Special thanks should be given to your Ancestors, Totem, and any other spirits to which you have reason to be thankful (ie you are in the middle of performing chiminage to them, or they have performed a recent service).  Offer a portion of your meal to help sustain the spirits in thanks for all that they provide.  This portion can be cast into a fire, buried, or simply set aside and taken to a secluded place outdoors and left for the spirits.  This food will not attract pests or vermin, however within a few hours time will vanish by natural means while unobserved (ie if left outside it will be picked up and eaten by an animal who was guided to the meal by the spirits, if burned it will be consumed normally by the flames, etc the important thing is that the substance of the food is returned to nature).  In the case of a ritual fast or the like, the meal can be one you have prepared for someone else, so long as a portion is still given to the spirits in offering, and the meal is not specifically prepared just for the purpose (as that would be wasteful and disrespect the source of the food)  This ritual must be performed daily for at least a phase of the moon to produce an effect (typically 3 days).  After that time of continued performance of the ritual each time thanks is given, a single spirit named in the performance (typically a specific Ancestor or your Totem, but another spirit can also be named so long as they are uniquely identified).  For 24 hours (until this ritual is performed again, whichever comes first) you receive +1 bonus trait for the purpose of resolving challenges against that spirit specifically for any challenge that involves peaceful negotiation or otherwise 'normal' interaction with the spirit (for the cases of war spirits and the like this may still include friendly combat so long as harm is not intended against the spirit).  This is due to the spirit being able to sense that they have been honored in the traditional manner.  The ST is the final arbiter as to when this bonus applies or does not apply, but the bonus is intended to facilitate peaceful interactions with the targeted spirit according to its nature, and should not be allowed in the case of attempts to cause it to act against its nature or otherwise cause it harm

The will of Zagreus combines, in an awkward sense the unity of the vaulderie and the unity of the pack as a whole to further one's one will to further the pack's needs and the sects goals. Loosely based off a ritual practiced by the Orphics and worshippers of the greek god Dionysus, this ritual involved the sacrifice of a youthful innocent. It is said the younger and more innocent provide the best results, hence why orphans and unwanted babies serve the best components. (As they were utilized in the ancient rituals actually practiced) Participants of this Ritual must imbibe upon the flesh of the innocent, live or dead, in order to participate.(Eat Food Needed, or will spent) They must then decide after feasting upon the body, how much of their own will they will "donate" to the recipient. For each Willpower designated the donor pours a trait of his blood into a basin or container mixed with the blood of the innocent, and all other donors. The recipient of the ritual then drinks of the mixture and his Vinc's go up to all members involved at a 1 for 1 ratio of will/blood put into it. The Recipient may not gain more Will then his permanent Will power Rating. (IE- never more than what you have purchased, AND never more beyond your max per generation)

It is, like other Ritae against a static against the number of participants, AND a will power to cast.

A Visit from Renee
‘Twas the day before Palla, when all thro’ the haven,
Not a cainite was stirring, not even a revenant;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that Renee soon would be there;
The childer were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of games of instinct danc’d in their heads,
And Sire in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long day’s nap-
When out in the haven there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters, and threw up the sash.
The sun on the breast of the new fallen snow,
I used Aegis to keep watch in mid-day below;
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and four tiny hell hounds,
With a little driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be Renee.
More rapid than eagles her coursers they came,
And she whistled, and shouted, and call’d them by name:
“Now! Spot, now! Rover,
“On! Fifi, on! Fido;
“To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
“Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!”

As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky;
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of viate and visc mods - and Archbishop too:
And then in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney Renee came with a bound:
She was dress’d all in fur, from her head to her foot,
And her clothes were all tarnish’d with ashes and soot;
A bundle of vitae was flung on her back,
And she look’d like a peddler just opening her pack:
Her eyes - how they twinkled! Her dimples how merry,
Her cheeks were like roses, her nose like a cherry;
Her droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of her chin was as white as the snow;
The stump of a pipe she held tight in her teeth,
And the smoke it encircled her head like a wreath.
She had a broad face, and a large black coat
That shook when she laugh’d, like a bowl full of jelly:
It was chubby and plump, like a right jolly old elf,
And I laugh’d when I saw her in spite of myself;
A wink of her eye and a twist of her head
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
She spoke not a word, but went straight to her work,
And fill’d all the stockings; then turn’d with a jerk,
And laying her finger aside of her nose
And giving a nod, up the chimney she rose.
She sprung to her sleigh, to her team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew, like the down of a thistle:

But I heard her exclaim, ere she drove out of sight-
Happy Palla Grande to all, and to all a good night.

Adrenaline Rush is an Ignoblis Ritae exclusive to the Chicago based "pack" known as House Malice. The participants ride a rollar coaster of the priest's choosing at Six Flags Great America while being unrestrained. Much like the more famous Fire Dance, the participants are encouraged to do tricks of athletecism to show their devotion to Caine and the rapidity of the world around them. While the participants may use Potence to hold on, it is frowned upon.

System: This ritae works exactly like the Fire Dance Riate as far as systems and bonuses. The exception being that it must be performed within the bounds of Great America and uses Athletics as the appropriate restest. The use of Potence does not change the outcome of the ritae, except that if caught by the performing priest (Mental challenge Investigation v. Stealth or Subterfuge) the performer may recieve ridicule.

ncestral Veneration (Ignoblius): By saying a prayer to their ancestors each night in conjunction with a gift of food, drink, or burnt offering (i.e. incense, candle, sage, etc) the ritae caster can call upon the wisdom of those who came before them in a time of need. The Ritae must be performed each night for seven (7) consecutive nights. After the completion of the seventh (7th) night, the ritae caster gains a temporary dot of the Ancestors background (see: Laws of the Wyld revised) that can be called upon for insight when a challenge requires an Ability the caster does not normally possess. This ritae may be performed for more than seven (7) days with each additional week of consecutive upkeep granting an additional temporary level of the Background; not to exceed a total of five (5) levels. If the caster calls upon any of their temporary dots during a Session, they must use all dots before the end of the evening or they are considered spent until the ritae is performed again.

During the Sabbat-Camarilla Wars the Creation Rites required the cainite recruit be drained of all of their blood and embraced with the blood of the entire pack.  The newly embraced cainite was then bludgeoned and buried in a shallow grave.  Those that dug themselves out were accepted.  This created an intense Vinculum but an equally high chance that the cainite would be clanless.  Following the end of the Sabbat-Camarilla Wars the Creation Rites were modified into the old form that was subsequently changed into the modern form.  Despite these changes some Pander still use the ancient creation rites to embrace new recruits. See, page 45 of the Player’s Guide to the Sabbat (2nd Ed) for reference to the autoricis ritae actually changing.

Mechanics: The recruit is drained of all their blood and embraced with a consecrated mix of the pack’s blood.  The new vampire rises with a vinculum rating no lower then three to all cainities that contributed vitae.  The cainite will likely be clanless, drawing their disciplines and any supernatural flaws from those who contributed vitae.

The user of this ritus permanently tattoos the recipient, which mystical change shape to represent the given status the recipient possesses and claims in the moment. Glowing sigils are tattooed onto the skin that represents the tales of how one received their status or what it represents to them upon the skin of the recipient. These marks shine a florescent crimson, although positional and reputational status gleam with their own subtle inflections of color.
This ritus is always active once performed and has no mechanical advantages. This is simply a mark of status and station that allows the character to personalize their stories.

In the Old Testament in Genesis 4:14-16, it is noted that God placed a mark upon the biblical Cain that would protect him from those that would wish to end him.

Many of the zealous in the Sabbat see this Mark as a religious symbol, a sign of Caine's rebellion against and superiority over God and as such it comes with great faith behind it. During one of the most significant of High Holidays in the Sabbat, the Binding, this ritus may be performed. The one performing this Ritus most meet certain restrictions such as following a spiritual path and having the Mark of Caine upon them already.

The Clergy member leads those before him in a rousing Sermon to Caine and calls forth on from those gathered. That one is chosen by the Clergymen to receive the Mark of Caine upon their brow. It is seen as a defiance and challenge to God's authority as only He should be able to so brand someone and yet the Clergy asserts that they too have that authority.

System: This Mark is etched into the forehead of the recipient in blood derived from a human male. While this is being done, the Clergy must expend 1 permanent Willpower and engages in a static willpower challenge against 10, retesting with Willpower. If successful, the recipient and the Clergy both suffer three aggravated damage that is non-soakable with Fortitude, then they must make a Conviction/Conscience challenge against 5. Should the recipient succeed this test, with Storyteller discretion, they may purchase the merit "Mark of Caine". Should they fail the Conviction/Conscience test, they will suffer a further three aggravated damage.

The Ritus may only be performed during the annual Binding and additionally may only be performed once that evening, regardless of success or failure.

At first glance this ritae bears a very strong resemblance to the Vaulderie.  Each member of the pack (min of two) adds a small portion of their blood (the total must be at least a trait) to a chalice using a ceremonial chalice, and cutting tool.  The priest then speaks an incantation over the vessel.  The ghoul (or would be ghoul) is then given the chalice to drink from.  If they refuse to drink the priest will tell them to drink once, if they still refuse they will most likely become the victim of the pack’s next blood feast.  In heavily ritualistic packs this ritae is often used to give ghouls their monthly feedings.

Mechanics: This ritae allows a mortal to be blood bound to more then one cainite at a time.  It will not break existing blood bounds, but it can be used to give a mortal more then one full three-step blood bound.  The mortal who drinks from the chalice will be bound one more step (Max 3 of course) to each cainite who contributed blood to the chalice.
