Mother’s Roots (Intermediate - 3)

 

Lilith built a garden of her own and taught herself to master those gifts that God had hoarded for Himself.  The followers of the Path of Lilith emulate their mother in that they too plant a garden that shows the power of their mastery over creation.

 

The Baharist spends a willpower and makes a physical challenge against her target. If successful, the target is enveloped in thorn covered vines.  Thereafter the target is trapped and immobilized unless they can win a static physical challenge against the Baharist permanent willpower. Beings trapped in the vines suffer two levels of Lethal damage each turn.  This power may ensnare any victim who stands upon the earth within line of sight of the Baharist.

Material Component: A piece of glass, stone, or other piece of the originating location

When the Tremere seeks to establish a safe location, they can cast this ritual to bring the defenses, that they have cast themselves, of a prior location to the new location. If the ritual fails or succeeds, the rituals will be removed from the originating location

This ritual must first be cast upon the originating location on a piece of it that will be taken to the recipient location.

Mechanics: Mental Challenge retest Architecture Difficulty of 10+the number of defenses on the building.

To activate the transfer, the attuned piece must be brought to the new location and then ground to dust. The dust must then be spread around, though it need not cover the entire location. Once spread, the castor must then summon forth the rituals from the originating location.

Mechanics: Mental Challenge retest Architecture Difficulty of 10+x, where x is a 1-5 scale based on distance from location A to B as well as any other mitigating factors the staff may choose to impose.

Basic Ritual: Casting this ritual cleanses a single room of evidentiary materials recently left there. The time period cleansed cannot be more than the number of hours in the past equal to the current mental traits of the caster, with a maximum of 12 traits/hours.
 
Examples of items cleansed are bullet casings,  residues of various sorts (cordite, explosives, drugs, etc.), any and all blood and similar forensic evidence (finger prints, hair samples, fibers, etc.) that were not present at the time being reverted to.

As masters of Svdharma many Sadhu have taken to a practice of confusing the wheel of fate in regards to their own truths and destiny.  As a key tenant of the Path of Paradox its members attempt to weave lies and deceit to become one with the lies of the universe and seek true enlightenment.  Through this ritual a Sadhu can thwart their enemies who seek answers to their secrets by nefarious means.  The arts of divination, demon summing or asking other ethereal things for questions on the Sadhu will simply fail.  The Sadhu must first ritually bath in the blood of five different individuals while reciting ritual prayer to add the karmic influence of those he bathed into his own.  Once complete, and for the remainder of the night, the Sadhu is granted protection to the effects of any supernatural power that grants any information about them that is not directly gotten from the sadhu himself.  That is to say rituals such as Video Nefas and Whispers In The Dark, or any similar power simply produce lies and falsehoods on the target, and grant information instead on those whose blood the Sadhu has bathed in; when used to gain information of the vampire under the effects of this ritual.  The result of which is often different conflicting information each time someone attempts to use the rituals on the Sadhu as it will randomly grant information based on those blood the Sadhu has bathed in.

Telyavelic Tremere often find the need to use their full capabilities while remaining apart from technology. While suffusing their essence with nature through the ritual: “Become One With The Land”, they may then expend a point of Willpower into their domain to consider their claimed area as a “controlled setting”. Telyavelic Tremere may then use Alchemy freely within their claimed domain without the need for a laboratory setting. A Telyav may equally use chalk circles symbology and a campfire in place of chemicals over a Bunsen Burner. This does not negate any of the other requirements to use Alchemy, only shifts the focus for their magic. This lasts as long as the ritual “Become One With the Land” does. Additional Willpower may be spent when spending blood to maintain the connection with their land.

Nectar of Poimandres (Intermediary Ritual)

"To Aristotle, the soul and the body coincide in such a way that one cannot survive without the other. Thus, they form a substantial unit in which the soul is the body's perfect act."

This ritual derived from the three primes of alchemy aims to give real meaning to the words of this philosopher.

System: The thaumaturge creates a compound by mixing a point of his blood with sulfur, mercury and salt. The mixture should be heated slowly to a boil and then cooled.
When the substance is drunk, the connection between body, mind and soul is strengthened.  Until the next sunrise, any attempt to separate body, mind and soul, regardless of if it is contested (via a challenge) or self-initiated (like with Astral Projection) will not occur immediately. It will take a number of turns equal to half the thaumaturge permanent willpower (round up) for the separation to occur.  During these turns the target will be afflicted with great distress and will need to bet an extra trait for any action he wishes to perform.

Nectar de Poimandres (Ritual Intermediário)

"Para Aristóteles, a alma e o corpo coincidem de tal modo que um não sobrevive sem o outro. Assim, formam uma unidade substancial na qual a alma é o ato perfeito do corpo. "

Este ritual derivado da Tria Prima da Alquimia tem como objetivo dar significado real às palavras desse filósofo.

Sistema: O taumaturgo cria um composto misturando um ponto do sangue dele com enxofre, mercúrio e sal. A mistura deve ser aquecida lentamente até a ebulição e então resfriada.
Quando a substância é bebida a ligação entre corpo, mente e alma é fortalecida. Até o próximo nascer do sol toda a tentativa de separar corpo, mente e alma independente de ser através de uma disputa (através de um teste) ou algo iniciado por si mesmo (como em Projeção Astral) não ocorrerá de imediato. Será necessário um número de turnos igual a metade da força de vontade permanente do taumaturgo (arredondado para cima) para que a separação ocorra.  Durante estes turnos o alvo será acometido por grande aflição e precisará apostar um trait extra para qualquer ação que deseje executar.

Nemorosus (Intermediate - 3)

 

You can transmute part of your blood and crushed seeds from the Garden of a Baharist to create a substance that weakens and sets root to your victims.  Each Blood Trait that you spend on this power is converted into a fertilizer of blood for the seed to grow.  You may coat your weapon up to the trait value with Nemorosus, though each strike uses only one Trait of blood.  If this seeded vitae touches a victim or is otherwise ingested into their system, it sets root the seed of Nemorosus.  

 

Every round a seed of Nemorosus remains in it's target saps one Blood point.  For every blood point that has been devoured by the seed of Nemorosus, it takes root like a sapling, making it much more dangerous to remove.  For each blood point devoured in this fashion, maximum of three, the sapling deals a level of aggravated damage when it is pulled out of the victim.  You can only have 1 seed implanted in the victim at one time.  Any given attack may only use one trait of blood with this power, though multiple attackers with seeded weapons could wreak deadly havoc on a single victim.  Each sapling would be considered one source of damage for fortitude and test downs.

Casting time: 15 minutes.  
Required is the name of the target or something personal from that being.  
Upon casting this ritual and making a Mental Challenge vs. the targets Stamina based Physical traits + their level of Fortitude.  If successful, the Ritual causes the target to lose both Basic Fortitude Discipline powers for the next hour.
(Target loses the benefits of Endurance & Mettle for an hour.  They lose 1 health level and they suffer wound penalties if they don’t reduce damage or use Aegis.)

Nights' Bloom

Basic Ritual:

A Magus casts this ritual over a flower bed, no greater than 5x5 in area. Any plants grown within this flower bed will grow as though they are one of the night blooming flowers. So long as they are properly maintained this effect is permanent on the flower bed it is cast upon. If more then 75% of the soil in the bed is removed/replaced then the effect must be recast. Flowers grown in such a disturbed garden will maintain their night blooming cycle for 28 days or until removed from the flower bed completely

Any flower removed from this flower bed will revert to its normal daytime blooming habits over the course of 7 days.

**These flowers have reversed cycles and therefore are tendable at night instead of during the day.

Advanced Ritual

Description: This Ritual nullifies the occupants and observers' supernatural perceptions and prevents others from supernatural means of locating the consecrated space. This does not stop Demons from communicating with their Thralls, or those that Invoke a Demon's True Name, but it does resist attempts to track and locate their thralls. This is not infallible, but will take time to overcome. As with Warding Circles, the caster may exclude themself or others from suppressing their own supernatural powers of detection.  This is similar to Banish Big Brother and Ripping the Eyes from Heaven.  This is considered a Haven or Chantry ritual to work in a specified location. If cast on the Base (Ritual: "Preparing the Base") it only affects the Base and things contained within it.

System: By adorning a space or object with sacred ash and holy oil, the Thaumaturge prevents supernatural means of scrying and remote detection.

Casting this ritual takes an entire night, and its effects will last for one lunar cycle. When cast on the Base, the ritual's duration increases to match the Base.

Effect: Any attempts to Scry or use magical means of viewing a location or object protected by this ritual automatically fail. This includes disciplines, gifts, true magic, and most especially demonic powers.

Cost: 1 Blood and 1 WP to cast
