2019 - Assamite - William Ruby
Introduction and Background:
Hello, my name is William Ruby and I am running for Assamite Coordinator for the remainder of the 2018/19 term. I have been playing in OWBN since 2013 after discovering it from playing in a Werewolf LARP being ran by the Martinsburg by Night Chronicle at a small gaming convention. I played exclusively in Martinsburg until attending my first OWBN event game in the form of NonClave. After meeting more OWBN players, I began expanding which games I played in, and slowly began going to more events as my budget would allow.
While I have only been a part of OWBN for nearing 7 years, I have been playing World of Darkness since 1994; and my first experience with WoD LARP was in 1995. My very first WoD PC was an Assamite, and my first serious, long term LARP PC was also an Assamite. Even though I have not played an Assamite PC in OWBN, over my many years playing Vampire, I have tended to gravitate toward playing Assamites. Clan Assamite very much is my favorite of all the Clans.

Olá, meu nome é William Ruby e estou concorrendo ao cargo de Coordenador Assamita pelo restante do termo 2018/19. Participo da OWbN desde 2013 após descobrir a org jogando em um LARP de Lobisomem organizado por Martinsburg by Night em uma pequena convenção de games. Eu joguei exclusivamente em Martinsburg até attender ao meu primeiro evento da OWbN, o NonClave. Após conhecer mais jogadores da OWbN, comecei a expander a quantidade de jogos em que eu jogava e aos poucos comecei a frequentar mais eventos, conforme meu orçamento permitia.
Enquanto eu só fiz parte da OWbN por aproximadamente 7 anos, eu jogo World of Darkness desde 1994; e a minha primeira experiência em LARP de WoD foi em 1995. Meu primeiro personagem de WoD foi um Assamita, e o meu primeiro personagem realmente levado a sério a longo prazo também foi um Assamita. Mesmo eu não tendo jogado com um PC Assamita na OWbN, após vários anos jogando Vampire, eu tendo a orbitar o gênero Assamita. Este clã é o meu favorito dentre todos os clãs

Personal Statement:
I have always had a deep love for the Assamite genre. I have greatly enjoyed the past four years as a member of Team Assamite. I have learned a lot from Jesse over the years. The autonomy he has allowed me while portraying important NPCs has given the chance to not only have a better grasp on the genre, but also played a role in helping develop good working relationships with various players of Assamite PCs.
Personal Statement (Portuguese):
Eu sempre tive um amor profundo pelo gênero Assamita. Eu adorei ser um membro do Time Assamita e aprendi muito do Jesse ao longo dos anos. A autonomia que ele me concede ao interpreter NPCs importantes me deram a oportunidade de não apenas ter um melhor conhecimento sobre o gênero, mas também fazer parte do desenvolvimento de boas relações com diversos jogadores de PCs Assamita.
Goals:
My initial goals are to support any pending and ongoing projects that Jesse had going with players and/or other Coordinators through to their natural resolutions.
Response Time: I plan to maintain a response time of 24 hours, but no longer than 48 hours. Many have come to expect a quick response time during Jesse’s term, and I will strive to keep up to his stellar example.
The Schism: I plan on continuing to support the establishment of strong PC leadership. I would also like to explore ways for the Schism to grow stronger within the Camarilla. I would look to work closely with other Coordinators toward the goal, specifically the Camarilla Coordinator.
The Unconquered: It is my plan to continue to support the current direction the Unconquered have been heading in. As well as to look into the possibility of adding a few more to the PC leadership of the faction.
The Dispossessed: During my years as a Sub Coordinator for Jesse, I did not have much involvement with the Dispossessed side of things. My first goal would be to quickly get up to speed on the current state of affairs for the faction. Once I have a firm grasp on the current state of the Dispossessed, I will support any current projects being pursued, and will see if there is anything else needed to provide them with more support.
The Loyalists: As with the Dispossessed, during the past four years as an Assamite Sub Coordinator, I have very little insight into the inner workings of the Loyalists. I will continue to support the Loyalist Sub Coordinator, should they remain on the team, in creating a packet for the Loyalists so that it can hopefully be propped before the end of the current term.
Packets: Most of the existing packets have reasonably up to date. While there may not be enough time to fully write any updated packets before the next full election, I plan to still look at the existing packets to see if there are any that could use updates so that they can at least be started during the current term.
Goals (Portuguese):
Meus objetivos iniciais são oferecer suporte à todos os projetos pendentes ou já iniciados pelo Jesse com os jogadores e/ou Coordenadores, seguindo a sua resolução natural.
Tempo de Resposta: Eu planejo manter um tempo de resposta médio por volta de 24 horas, porém não mais longo do que 48 horas. Muitos acabaram se habituando ao curto tempo de resposta do Jesse ao longo dos termos, e eu vou me esforçar para manter esse comportamento exemplar.
O Cisma: Planejo continuar a oferecer o suporte para que se estabeleça uma forte liderança PC no cenário. Eu também adoraria explorar formas de fazer com que o Cisma se torne mais forte com a Camarilla. Eu busco trabalhar de forma próxima com outros Coordenadores para atingir este objetivo, principalmente com o Coordenador Camarilla.
Os Não Conquistados: Está nos meus planos continuar a oferecer o suporte à direção corrente que os Não Conquistados tem seguido, e também observer a possibilidade de adicionar um pouco mais de liderança PC na facção.
Os Despossuídos: Durante meus anos como Sub Coordenador para o Jesse, eu não tive muito envolvimento com esse lado da moeda. Meu primeiro objetivo é me inteirar sobre o que tem ocorrido na facção e entender as suas necessidades. Assim que eu tiver um entendimento complete do estado corrente dos Despossuídos, vou oferecer todo o meu suporte aos projetos correntes e irei verificar o que mais é necessário para oferecer a eles ainda mais suporte.
Os Lealistas: Assim como com os Despossuídos, durante os últimos quatro anos como Sub Coordenador Assamita, eu tenho muito pouco conhecimento sobre o desenvolvimento interno da facção. Irei continuar a oferecer todo o suporte aos Sub Coordenadores Lealista caso eles queiram continuar no time, e pretend criar um packet para a facção ainda neste termo.
Packets: A maioria dos packets atuais estão consideravelmente atualizados. Enquanto não há tempo suficiente para reescrevê-los por completo antes da próxima eleição do termo complete, eu planejo analisar os packets existentes para ver se algo pode ser atualizado ainda neste termo.
