2017 - Sabbat - Jackie Clark
Introduction and Background:
Good evening Cainites!
It is with great pleasure that I write this application for OWbN Sabbat Coordinator. I have been roleplaying for the last 16 years, and will have been involved with OWbN for 5 year this coming August. I got started in this genre when I was absconded into my first Ecumenical Council, and today I presently serve as your Assistant Sabbat Coordinator. My real world human disguises includes, but is not limited to contractor work with the United States Airforce as our client, various positions within the hospitality industry, time with the Payment Card Industry, as well as work within Distribution companies. This roughly translates to: I have little over a decade's worth of experience in bureaucratic positions as well as customer service. I have already been applying these real world lessons into my present positions.
In my spare time I enjoy terrorizing my players with plot, culinary tourism, and blues dancing. I hate bing as a search engine, read, and watch a variety of genres for game inspiration.

Eu já tenho aplicado essas lições do mundo real em minhas posições na org.

Personal Statement:
Within the chapters of OWbN we as players have been writing our own genre. The purpose of our genre coordinators is to distinguish when we are crafting genre as an orgnization, and when we are going out of genre as both a group and from canon that was present before us. This position is neither easy, nor is it without burden on both players and staffers. It is my goal to push the Sabbat genre into the next era, taking pages from the canon, as well as taking notes from the efforts of our players. I will achieve this through the combined efforts of the other genre offices, and from the games in which we serve.
Goals:
1.) Reignite the passion for the genre.
-This will be done in analyzing where we have gone right, and where we need improvement as a team. I intend to renew the OOC bonds between storytelling staff with our office, and with our office and the players themselves. This will require us to deconstruct our current policies, and analyze how to structure them in a manner that suits the needs of the team along with the needs of your average OWbNer.
2.) Create an ST toolbox.
- Many players first, and in some cases only, experience with Sabbat genre is through plot run from other games. Unfortunately the richness and complexity of the genre is regularly lost, and the Sabbat become these mindless snarling beasts that, while scary, do not invoke the same feelings our Sabbat players can invoke among each other at game. Presently we have several packets available for the storyteller in need. I would like to generate a quick, non-binding, go to guide for folks looking to jump-start a bit of Sabbat terror into their players.
3.) Mechanical deconstruction.
-Throughout my time in Team Sabbat, there have been concerns presented about the mechanics presently being utilized by the office. I have a team of volunteers ready to comb through what we currently use, figure out what needs to stay, what needs to be edited, and what needs to go.
4.) Refocus on internal story and politics.
-Presently I am already working with several coordinators on crafting a plot that touches multiple sects, but allows us as a team to put emphasis on the Sabbat's internal workings. Cross-sect plot, while engaging, has had some feeling hungry for more engagement within the Sect itself. When these cross-sect plots occur, I want to push for options that allow the same plot to have elements that stay solely within the sect itself.
-This refocus will push for plot within individual factions, with the ultimate goal being to have things spill over into the main part of the sect itself.
-Antitribu have also been itching for some spotlight time as well. I aim to touch base with the individual genre coordinator offices on how to best achieve this, although I already have a few ideas of my own.
