2014 - Malkavian - Mark Koenig
Introduction and Background:
Never in a the last few months did I think that I would be running for Malk Coord again, but I guess that such things are
gonna prove you wrong in the end whenever you say you are or aren't going to do something. I hope I still have more to
give to One World by Night and that I can continue to help Malkavian players and the STs of the org. In the end
you are the people that we, as coordinators, hope to be able to help.
Up until recently I hadn't planned on running as I'm trying to focus on school, relationships, and all that jazz, but it
never occurred to me that someone wouldn't be jumping at the chance to be the Malkavian Coord and I'm not
gonna let the position go without someone I think would do a good job at the reigns.
Administrative Experience:
Let me tell you about my past a bit. I started a troupe game in my home town that lasted for a few years and
you were kind enough to vote me in as Malk Coord the last times. I STed in the org for years before recently stepping
down to let myself recharge as I think I was becoming a bit burnt out.
Personal Statement:
Never let it be said that I don't care about Malkavian "Genre" (whatever that means) or the players. Regardless I'm
gonna have to be honest and say that I'm a bit burned out and hope that stepping down from STing will help with this.
Run, run, run is what happens a lot of the time as a Coord and I think that (with one exception) I've been consistently
around to respond to questions, problems or concerns. I've enjoyed working with other coordinators and STs
and believe that most of the time we've been able to come to a solid consensus in which no one had to
desert their goals in the scene, character, or situation that had come up.
Goals:
You may be asking me what I plan on doing in the next term and that's a great question, though as always you
never know what random things come up that need to be dealt with. Through the next year the few projects I'm
gonna be working on are the derangement and factions packets, which hopefully will allow Malkavians to
make some structure within the clan if they are so inclined. I hope to be able to somewhat address the fact that
you see few Malkavian Princes and give ideas on how Malkavians can succeed (if they want) without making anyone
cry from their pink bunnies or multiple personalities of different clans or the like. Now, of course, I'm
never going to do anything without talking to STs of a character first, but I think that seeing that it's possible to do is
gonna make other players of Malkavians reach for the stars, so to speak. Finally I've heard a bunch of Assamite players
say that the PSM removal process is unreasonable. Mr. Lopez and I have already started to speak and I hope to say
goodbye to the bad parts of the situation, while keeping any good parts and living up to the Conclave Decision…
Never let it be said that we're not at least trying to make things better. Are there any others? No, I think that's all I'm
gonna put in my app about goals. Okay onto what's next…
Tell you my opinions on BNS? It isn't my decision or part of the job as a Clan Coordinator to advocate, if we do switch
a lot of work will have to be done by Coords to update packets and other such resources and I'm not gonna
lie, that's a lot of work, but I have faith that my team and I could accomplish that within a reasonable time
and get it out to the players if we go that route. Okay, I think this is probably long enough and my ramblings have
hurt enough already so I think that it's time say good night, tell you to email me with any questions and wish
you happy gaming and crazy times.
