2014 - Finance - LeAmber Kensley
Introduction and Background:
Hello, my name is LeAmber Kensely and I may have a volunteering problem. I am hoping the organization will allow me to continue for an eleventh strait year as your Finacial Coordinator.
I am a mother of five children and grandmother to two, I work as an assessment counsellor with people who have addiction issues and co-occurring disorders. I am also a femminist who believes that equal rights and safe places belong to all of us equally, no matter what our gender, culture, ethnicity or sexaul prefference is.
I am passionate about my beliefs and I hope to continue to bring that passion to OWBN so we can evolve into a better organization.

- Voice of Women Canada Treasurer 2013 to present
- Institute for International Womens Rights - Manitoba Treasurer 2013 to present
- budgeting for both non profit, and charitable groups, ranging from $1000.00 to $40000.00 per annum
- HST Gimli , 2006, 2004 (and I may have the ecact years wrong, basing it on when I had babies which interfered)
Personal Statement:
I am a gamer geek who loves OWBN, and wants to contribute the organization that has given me several good memories and friends. I also love numbers... and ensuring that money is not spent friviously. I appreciate being able to contribute in a small way.
Goals:
To keep OWBN finacially stable and do our best to ensure we can stay with donations, as opposed to mandatory dues. To this end I am researchig incorporating OWBN as an international not for profit in Canada, which would help safeguard peoples private assetts from being liable, and ensure that the organization also had adequate protection form lawsuits.
