2014 - AHC 1 - Samantha Swanson
Introduction and Background:
I have been a member of One World by Night since my Junior year of High School back in 2002. I was first introduced to the game through Milwaukee: Nocturnal Rapture under Anne Zellmer. Being sixteen and a theater dork at the time, LARPing fascinated me. Ever since then I have been an active player with in the Org and in the past six years I have become an active contributor to the administrative side of One World by Night. Through out my time in the org I have traveled across the US, sadly I have not made it west of Iowa but I have traveled from Iowa east across the midwest and then up and down the east close as far north as Conneticut and as far down as Orlando, Florida.
In my time I have played outcasts, city and sept position holders, and through all that I've met some banging awesome people, many of whom have become friends and even family. In recent years, I decided to give back to the Org that has given me so much fun and some of my best friends. After returning from school on the East Coast I joined the staff of Chicago: Dark Requiem working with Jimmy Reckitt. Durring my tenure under Jimmy as one of his ASTs, I was eased into the back side of the Org and what all Staffs and Coords really have to do in order for players to have this expansive and awesome network of games to play in. From there my active involvement in the administrative side of OWbN has only grown and expanded, to the point that I am now actively on three different Coord Teams as well as serving as a CM and Admin for one of my local Garou games.

I have played in OWbN for over 10 years now and in the last six I have become exceptionally involved in the Storytelling and Coordinating side of the ORG.

In both instances my work revolved around communicating and helping others with their grasp on the Genre as well as, in 2011 the potential bringing in of nWoD stuff complete with conversions.
Web Team 2010 - Current
On the web team, my primary job has always been the handling of Chronicle Information Forms. While handling this position it has been my job to make sure that games update their information on the website so that the players and STs of the ORG have an as up to date listing as possible for who runs what games. Along with handling this I was responsible for ensuring that the master list of game information (IE who the HST, AST and CMs for a given game) that was kept as a Google Document so that quick referencing could be done when the calls for CIF were put out. Now, with the awesome new website, my job is to look over CIFs and then publish them if changes were made.
Assamite Team 2010 - 2011
During this time, my job was fairly fast and loose. I was the editor of emails for other team members to ensure that the emails came off polite and courteous, some times I handled NPCs via Email and at event games I would some times play one of these NPCs.
Marketing Team 2014
I'm fairly new to the team, 3 weeks on the job and counting. Right now I am working on a personal project that involves gathering the IC information of games such as who holds the positions of the given game so that when new players come into the ORG, there is a primer for them of things that they should know coming in the door.
Demon Team 2011
While on the Demon team, it was my job to review applicants for Baali PCs and either approve or deny them as well as help work with staffs to come up with the proper Pacts for their pcs to ensure that the PC was paying the proper price for what ever the Demon was giving him/her.

Personal Statement:
I would like to see a voice brought to the Exec Team from the non Vampire games. One of the big reasons I believe that this is important is because our organization is made up of more then just Vampire games - there are ~40 chronicles in OWBN that have indicated that their primary genre is non-Vampire (Garou, Mage, Changeling, Wraith, etc.). It has been at least five years since a member of the Exec Team was not a primarily Vampire player. I am of the firm belief that we need members of the Exec Team who need to be knowledgeable in the players and staffs of those Non-Vampire games. It is my opinion, based predominately on observation, that people are more likely to come to someone they know with an issue then to some one they do not. I think that with an Exec Team member who is a nationally active werewolf player and who has been on the Changing Breeds team, that the garou games and other non-vampire genre games will feel more comfortable about coming forward with issues and believing that they will get equal treatment. It is also my belief that if I join the Exec Team I will be able to help bring the games that have become reclusive from the org, who only deal with the org when they must, back into a more active participation role.
While in the position of AHC I will be reachable by phone, Skype, Google Talk, Text Message, FaceBook, Email and Facetime. While I wont be available 24/7, my business does allow for fast turn around times durring non business hours and less then 24 hour turn around times durring business hours.

Eu gostaria de ver uma voz Trazido para a Equipe Exec dos jogos não vampiro. Uma das grandes razões que eu acredito que, porque isso é importante é a nossa organização é composta por mais do que apenas jogos de vampiro - há ~ 40 têm crônicas em OWBN que indicava que seu gênero principal é não- vampiro ( Garou , Mago, Changeling , Wraith , etc.) Tem sido e cinco anos , desde pelo menos um membro da Equipe Exec Principalmente vampiro não era um jogador. Eu sou da firme convicção de que precisamos de membros da Equipe Exec que precisam ser informados nos jogadores e equipes desses jogos não hematófagos . É a minha opinião, baseada predominantemente na observação , que as pessoas são mais susceptíveis de vir a alguém que sabem com um problema, então a alguém Eles não. Penso que com um membro da equipe Exec que é um jogador ativo nacionalmente lobisomem e que tem vindo a equipe Raças Mudança, que os jogos garou e outros jogos do gênero não hematófagos vai se sentir mais confortável vindo para a frente com as questões Acerca e acreditando que eles vão obter igualdade de tratamento. É também minha convicção de que se eu me juntar a Equipe Exec I será capaz de ajudar a trazer os Jogos que se tornaram recluso do org , que só lidar com a org quando devem , de volta em um papel uma participação mais ativa .

Enquanto eu não vou estar disponível 24/7, o meu negócio não permite a volta rápida em torno vezes durring horas não comerciais e menos de 24 horas volta em torno vezes durring o horário comercial.
Goals:
My Goals for the coming term are very simple but I believe that bringing them to fruition is going to be anything but.
1. Reach out to the games that have become insular and attempt to bring them more fully into our organization.
A. Find out what caused them to become insular.
B. Begin to build a plan with them to bring them into the org.
i. Get them in contact with list mods.
ii. Get them in contact with Coords.
a. Help them link into national plots
b. Help them reach out to national NPCs/PCs
iiii. Get them in contact with other local games.
a. Help create cross game plots to encourage travel.
b. Help build a local network.
2. Begin working with the rest of the Exec Team and Coords to do an over haul of the bylaws to stream line them.
