I’ve been role playing for the last twenty five or twenty six years. My experience in RPGs include all of the old standbys; D&D, AD&D, SHADOWRUN, CYBERPUNK, GURPS (I miss this game) and quite a few others. I’ve been playing Vampire since 1991 when I first saw it on the shelf. I’ve been gaming in OWbN for about 21 (November 1998) years now. In that time I’ve played all of the standard clans and a couple of R/u characters.
I’ve learned a few things in my time with the org. Some of those are the things that you would expect, cooperation, the ability to communicate my ideas to a larger group of people, and how to concede a point when necessary. Other things I’ve learned are of a more personal nature. I’ve learned, in a large part thanks to people in the org, who I am as a person. My own personal strengths and weaknesses are more apparent to me now than they were those many years ago. As part of this continuing personal growth, we (my partner and I) have been seeking professional evaluation of the occasional difficulty that I have understanding and responding to social cues that others seem to grasp with no difficulty.
When I first came into OWbN I was amazed at the differences between how I’d perceived the game previously and how it was presented here. There were some adjustments I had to make. The Tremere were shown to have a significantly more rigid hierarchy than I’d ever considered, while clans like the Brujah and the Toreador seemed to be universally the same. Now, in 2018, I’m so very glad that I took the time to make that adjustment.

Quando eu cheguei em OWbN fiquei maravilhado com as diferenças entre como eu tinha percebido o jogo anteriormente e como ele foi apresentado aqui. Houveram algumas mudanças que eu tive que fazer. In my day to day life I have provided technical support to multiple international companies. This was a standard technical support role. Previously, I have helped to manage the telephone staff for the Techincal Support Queue of a worldwide ISP. I also provided training for the local office of this support queue. Training classes consisted of up to twenty-five people with three weeks of classroom time where they learn the essential skills necessary to troubleshoot issues with the service and software our parent company provides and two weeks of on the job training where they learn to put those skills to use.
I have managed a database of over 50,000 entries and ensured that, when modifications had to be made to this database, it was done in a manner that allowed the telephone team of a non-profit group for whom I worked to perform their duties without interruption. I’ve managed both retail locations and restaurants as well.
Recently I completed my Master’s Degree in Religious Studies at the University of South Florida. I am now a Substitute Teacher and am responsible for working directly with students on their assignments, providing feedback on and grading those assignments. I have been subbing as an art teacher at the same school for approximately four months now and the school is trying to get me hired directly on in some capacity.
In my gaming life, I’ve been the administrative storyteller for a number of WW based chronicles. These duties have included but not been limited to the organization of and management of character sheets, ensuring that appropriate learn-times (for the games that have used them) have passed before experience points are allowed to be spent and planning/ensuring that the metaplot for the games in question continue apace.
I have been a ST and Narrator in Tampa Bay by Night and am currently an AST for that chronicle as well as the CM for Orlando: Magic Kingdom. Our chronicle has risen from only a couple of players to a larger and more stable player base. I’ve STed for and narrated for numerous troupe games ranging in genre From Vampire to Mage, to Wraith and Others. I have something around a decade and a half STing and Narrating in OWbN games. I also have 20 years of experience outside of OWbN. Much of that has been in troupe games, which has allowed me to see what works in and outside of One World by Night.

Na minha vida de jogador, eu fui storyteller administrativo para uma série de crônicas baseadas na WW. Essas tarefas incluem, mas não se limitando à, organização e gestão das fichas de personagens, garantir o tempo apropriado de aprendizado (para os jogos que tenham esse controle), passando desde os pontos de experiência que são permitidos a serem gastos e planejando/garantindo que os metaplot para o jogos em questão continuem em ritmo acelerado.

Gaming with OWbN has been my primary hobby for more than two decades. I have enjoyed giving back to the org as both a sub coord and a coord and would like to continue doing so.
Additionally, I have taken the better part of the last year to address certain anti-social traits that I possess. I have been defensive, and antagonistic at times and realize that I do not have the best reputation among some players. People can change, when they put in the effort. This is something I truly believe and something I have been working on. While I may occasionally fall back into those old habits, it happens less and less. The walk toward progress is never on a decently paved road, but rather one that has potholes. Just like driving a car, you occasionally hit one of those potholes and pray that everything will be okay as you continue toward your destination.

This year has been crazy and I can only imagine that there have been understandable delays due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Being one o fthe lucky people to be fully vacinated and having a relatively easy work schedule, I would like to focus my time dealing with any such backlog while also working with the rest of the exec team to ensure that the org continues to run smoothly as we struggle through the trials 2019, 2020 and beyond have place before us.

Siendo una de las personas afortunadas que está completamente vacunada y con un horario de trabajo relativamente fácil, me gustaría concentrar mi tiempo en lidiar con cualquier acumulación de trabajo y al mismo tiempo trabajar con el resto del equipo ejecutivo para asegurar que la organización continúe funcionando sin problemas como luchamos a través de las pruebas que 2019, 2020 y más allá tienen lugar ante nosotros.
