Rationale: Alrighty! So a good amount to unpack here, but pretty much all of this is in preparation for the switch to Changeling 20th edition, which has been approved by council and will become legal right around the end of this year/beginning of next.

Let’s start with Spring 5. This new art is a resurrection power, and all of those are controlled. However, unlike other resurrections, it only lasts a single night (cannot be extended beyond that) and only works up to once per month. This makes it very weird as resurrection powers in the org go, and obviously much more limited. It is my hope, therefore, that this can be controlled through a mixture of the changeling coord’s office and the appropriate coord overseeing the creature type being resurrected. Because, honestly, it’s a bit of a waste of council’s time to vote on each 1 night long resurrection.

Moving onto the Ritual of Parted Mists. In the new edition, changelings can make something very much like ghouls, only without the slavery. Pretty much all comparable ‘added templates’ which grant super powers of some kind (and this one does) when given to full supernaturals are coord approval (kinfolk, kinain, hedge magic, etc). So this is seeking to keep this in line with that tradition. The only real exception to that are ghouls, which are bordering on unplayable in garou and slowly(notsoslowly) kill both mage avatars and fairy souls. As this the Ritual of Parted Mists has no downsides like that, I feel it is appropriate to regulate like we regulate other things which just give powers from one genre to another.

The way kinain work are also being changed in the new edition and I don’t think the fae blood notification per level system is particularly useful anyway. So this essentially states if you are a supernatural of any kind other than a changeling and you are trying to learn Arts, it is flatly coord approval. I am aware of exactly 1 properly registered individual in the org who has this (and in a very limited scope) and she will be approved to continue to do so.

The other side of this is a more technical one and largely involves a new power called Set in Stone which could change any number of changeling buff powers to have a duration of 30 years. By this means (and at basically no permanent cost), a PC could be given 5 permanent extra actions, permanent powers of flight, permanent health levels, permanent traits and several other things like that. I will be recommending strongly against having the power do that even for changelings, but I think it is wholly unreasonable to gift other genres with these abilities long term. I would also rather the power otherwise be useable for its many other interesting uses, such as making people stop aging or enacting long term curses.jordan SneakersFASHION NEWS
