I, Adam Sartori, CM of Dark Colony: Hartford, propose the following addition to Bylaw to Administrative bylaw 7. Chronicle Admission

G. Admitting Chronicles Rare and Unusual

            i. Should a Genre Coordinator object to an R&U PC or NPC that is being submitted by a chronicle attempting to join One World by Night, and falls under their auspice as a coordinator, the character must follow the normal Rare and Unusual bylaws for any characters that they object to.  That is to say, if the petitioning chronicle has a character in it that falls under the “Rare” category, for example, that PC must be voted on by council if the overseeing coordinator has an objection.  No character shall be grandfathered or allowed for play from a petitioning chronicle without having to undergo the normal Rare and Unusual process as defined for the PC or NPC if there is an objection from the overseeing coordinator.

Reasoning:  Over the years I have seen far to many R&U PCs and NPCs get allowed into OWbN for play that would not have normally passed the R&U process simply due to the fact that an admitted chronicle has all of its R&U automatically approved.  I have personally seen this “loophole” been abused and often cause headaches later down the road.  It is my belief that an admitting chronicle should have to follow our R&U procedures just like any other chronicle.
