I, Danielle Frink, as the Head Coordinator, propose the following changes and updates to the Administrative Bylaws. Each change will have the separate rationale for it following the proposed changes.

Remove Administrative Bylaw 6.G.iv.

Currently reads:

6.       Disciplinary Policy

G.      Archiving

iv.      If the result of an OWBN Disciplinary Action is the banning of a member OWBN wide, it must be announced on the ST List.

Reasoning: This line is redundant, as the previous bylaw indicates that the results of all OWBN Disciplinary Action Votes must be announced on the ST and Council mailing lists.

Change Administrative Bylaw 7.C.i.

Currently reads:

7.       Chronicle Admission

C.      Probationary Vote

                                                               i.      The Membership Coordinator, a Sub-Coordinator, or a duly appointed representative will then submit the Application for a “Probationary Admission” vote to the OWBN Council for the discussion period and Admission Vote. If there are no objections during the discussion period, the game Auto-Passes into its Probationary Period.

Change to:

7.       Chronicle Admission

C.      Probationary Vote

                                                               i.      The Membership Coordinator will then submit the Application for a “Probationary Admission” vote to Council for the discussion period and Admission Vote. If there are no objections during the discussion period, the game Autopasses into its Probationary Period.

Reasoning: Sub-coordinators do not have access to Council unless they are also a Council Member or full Coordinator in their own right, so they should not be able to propose things to Council. As we do not allow duly-appointed representatives to propose items on behalf of other Coordinators, it doesn’t make sense to have that exception here either.

Change Administrative Bylaw 7.F.iv.

Currently reads:

7.       Chronicle Admission

F.       Satellite Games

iv.      Satellite Games going through the Admissions Process will remain under the authority of the Full Member Chronicle until they have passed their Probationary Vote. Once they have passed their Full Membership they become their own, separate Probationary Chronicle.

Change to:

7.       Chronicle Admission

F.       Satellite Games

iv.      Satellite Games going through the Admissions Process will remain under the authority of the Full Member Chronicle until they have passed their Probationary Vote. Once they have passed their Probationary Vote they become their own, separate Probationary Chronicle.

Reasoning: This was clearly a typo, as a Satellite is intended to go through a Probationary Vote before becoming a stand-alone Probationary Chronicle, not a Full Membership vote.

Remove Administrative Bylaw 8.D.iii.4.b.

Currently reads:

8.       Administrative Responsibilities

D.      Reporting

                                                           iii.      Chronicle reporting

4.       The reports shall consist of:

b.       Number of games played in that period

Reasoning: This is not required in the form itself, and there is no place for it.

Change Administrative Bylaw 9.A.ii.

Currently reads:

9.       Internet Presence

A.      Official Site

ii.      The ownership of the domain shall belong to the Council who will designate an individual as the registrar of the domain name. This registrar acknowledges that the domain shall be turned over to whomever Council deems necessary in the future.

Change to:

9.       Internet Presence

A.      Official Site

ii.      The domain belongs to the One World By Night NPO, registered in Canada.

Reasoning: Now that we are an NPO all org assets belong to the it, rather than Council or an individual.
