Proposal Type: Genre Packet

OWbN's Coordinator Bylaws, section 3.C.iii. state: "Genre Coordinators must pass before Council any plot, enforced policy, R&U named characters, or binding edict they wish to use which they can reasonably expect to affect multiple chronicles and these proposals need not be seconded, but go immediately into discussion."

As a genre proposal, this will auto-pass in 7 days if not objected to. It may be shared with players.

Proposal:
The Ventrue Coordinator is proposing changing the OWBN Ventrue Guide to Societies, Orders & Cults from it's current version to the below version.

A summary of important changes

1. Update the last modified date

2. Change references to  The Hague to The Society of the Hague (table of contents, etc).

3. Modify The Hague section to read as follows.

(Doc 1)

4. Other minor formatting changes

A version of the document with changes is available at

(Doc 2)

The current packet that would be replaced is available in the signature of all emails from the Ventrue Coordinator account.

Reasoning:

The changes to the Society of the Hague were requested by players, and there has been a discussion of the Society of the Hague recently in the owbn-scepter-ooc email list. One thing brought up repeatedly was the slowness of approvals, both by current members and those who are applying.

The changes to the Society of the Hague writeup allow for improvements in the approval process to make it easier to manage, thus hopefully speeding up application approval for qualified candidates.

They also reflect changes or differences in play begun under my predecessor or other differences that were not reflected in the current packet, like the honorary status the Camarilla gives members. Finally, they allow for a newly elected Coordinator to be involved in future Society of the Hague meetings, as the current February date happens before a newly elected Coordinator takes office.

There may be future updates to this Packet, and perhaps to the Society of the Hague, but these changes all reflect internal governance and nomenclature, and have limited effect except on members and applications to the Society of the Hague.

Given these relatively minor changes,  I'd sincerely appreciate if there was no objection to delay implementation.

I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
