Age of Consent for Moderated OWBN Lists

Due to the mature themes portrayed in OWBN, all organizational lists notspecifically designated by their moderators as 'safe for children' are restricted to those members of the organization who are no longer minors as legally defined by their governments.
A Council Member may petition a list moderator on behalf of one of their underage players, who may or may not make an exception for that player. Whatever method the Council Member uses to determine whether they will petition on behalf of a player is left to the chronicle.
Notes:
It's short, to the point. It addresses:
A) defining the reason we need the policy.
B) covers all lists, giving individual moderators the option to allow minors.
C) allows exceptions in a relatively simple fashion for chronicles who desire them.
D) defines what ages are covered.
E) in case someone's parents complain, it shows that either, the local chronicle recommended the player, or that the player snuck on the list

St. Petersburg, FL - USA, Faces of Change | Against | I agree with Columbus there. If they are being allowed to game with us they should be able to have as much a right to the lists as anyone else. |

Columbus, OH - USA, Columbus in Darkness | Against | It is not our responsibility to police the actions of children on the internet. It is the responsibility of the parents to watch and police the actions of their children. |

Annapolis, MD - USA, Vitae Aeternus | For | It may be the parent's position to police their children's behavior/hobbiest ect howwever with OBN moving more and more toards becoming Incorp. all it's going to take is one parent screaming ''cult'' or one teen getting overly upsset and dramatized by game to cause a parent to blame OWBN and to sue us for tramatize and scaring their child for life. It's sad and unfortunate but just think how many parents have gone after White Wolf and the Music indusy and anythig not lollipop and daisies because their kid did something stupid (i.e. Columbine, Suicide anything like that)...OWBN is up there on the blae list - just think of all th nasty stuff that happens at your game - that's all it takes. |
Edwardsville, IL - USA, Caught in Eternal Twilight | Against | While I agree that this situation may be a good idea, I believe that implying that we are responsible for the content of our List serves will open us to Liability for activity which we do not wish to be liable for. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | As it stands, list owners own the lists and may allow whoever on. This motion effectively can be seen as a move where OWBN as an organization can dictate who is and isn't on the lists. The spirit of the rule I understand, I just don't like this implimentation. |

Chronicle/Position Unknown | Against | THe lists are not owned by owbn. They are owned by the moderators of those lists. It is the moderators choice,to place an individual on the lists. The more buracracy youadd to OWBN the worse our problems will become. |
