As the Head Coordinator, I, Danielle Frink, propose that the phrases "grandfathering" and "redline/redlining" be removed from our bylaws and replaced by "legacy exemptions" and "retcon/retconning." As players, Coordinators, Storytellers and Council Members, we want to create an inclusive environment that makes everyone feel respected. Making changes to the language we use is a simple, but important, step in creating that environment.
For a brief explanation of why these phrases are cause for concern and should be changed, check out these links.

Redlining: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redlining
As this topic has been brought to my attention repeatedly, and discussed among the Coordinators and on public Facebook groups, we need to address the situation. It is a small thing to change, and though it will take us some time to adjust, it is an important step to making our organization more inclusive.
