2015 - Changing Breeds - William Ruby
Introduction and Background:
Hello, I my name is William Ruby, but everyone calls me Will, and I am applying for the Changing Breeds Coordinator position this term. I live in Maryland, just outside of Washington, DC, and play in a number of the local games of various genres. I work in an unofficial management position (funny enough, my professional title includes the word “Coordinator”) for the repair shop of a nationwide (United States) electronics store.

Olá, meu nome é William Ruby, mas toda a gente me chama e estou aplicando para a mudança das raças cargo de coordenador deste termo. Eu vivo em Maryland, nos arredores de Washington, DC, e jogar em um número de jogos locais de vários gêneros. Eu trabalho em um cargo de gestão não oficiais (é engraçado, o meu título profissional inclui a palavra "Coordenador") para a loja de reparos de nationwide (Estados Unidos) loja de produtos eletrônicos.

Personal Statement:
While I may not have much in the way of experience in an administration role within OWbN, I have been playing the various World of Darkness games for nearly my entire adult life. I started way back in my first year of college with 1st Edition Vampire. For quite a while, WoD was the only game system I played. I have been playing in LARPs for nearly as long. Really giving away how old I am here, but I believe the very first LARP I ever played in was way back in 1995. Now, I have only been playing in OWbN games for a couple of years now. This was primarily due to having not known of OWbN’s existence for so long. However, over my many years on the tabletop side of things, I typically ended up being the Storyteller for the vast majority of the WoD games I played. With my favorite genres being Werewolf and Changeling.

Embora eu não tenha muito no caminho da experiência em uma função de administração no OWbN, tenho andado a jogar os diversos mundo das trevas jogos para quase toda a minha vida adulta. Eu comecei no meu primeiro ano de faculdade, com 1ª Edição vampiro. Durante bastante tempo, WoD foi o único sistema de jogo eu joguei. Eu tenho andado a jogar em LARPs para quase tão longo. Realmente dando como velho eu estou aqui, mas creio que o primeiro QUE LARP EU nunca jogou na era caminho de volta em 1995. Agora, eu só tenho jogado nos jogos OWbN há um par de anos agora. Isso foi principalmente devido a não ter conhecimento da existência da OWbN durante tanto tempo. No entanto, sobre o meu há muitos anos sobre a mesa lateral das coisas, que eu geralmente acabou por ser o argumentista para a grande maioria dos WoD jogos que jogou. Goals:
My goals as Changing Breeds Coordinator, if I were to be elected, are pretty simple. First of all, I would want to put more trust and power into the hands of Storytellers. I feel that a Genre Coordinator’s primary role is to help facilitate cooperation between Storytellers to encourage interactions between the various games. I do not wish for any game to feel that they are an isolated island. Or course, that does not mean that I would force any games to interact with each other. Simply that I would do my best to help establish trust and cooperation between different Storytellers.
I would also look to continue expanding on what the current CBC has started with moving the overall plot of the genre forward to fall more in line with more recent published materials. Werewolf: the Apocalypse has a very compelling meta plot, and I would like to help see more of it become realized in OWbN. I also strive to ensure that more Tribal and Breed plots occur. After all, regardless of Changing Breed, one’s Tribe plays a very important part of who they are. For those Breeds that have individual Tribes, that is.

Minhas metas como a mudança das raças Coordenador, se fosse eleito, são bastante simples. Primeiro de tudo, eu gostaria de colocar mais confiança e poder para as mãos dos contadores. Penso que um gênero Coordenador do papel principal é contribuir para facilitar a cooperação entre as presidiárias para incentivar as interações entre os vários jogos. Não quero que qualquer jogo para sentir que eles são uma ilha isolada. Obviamente, isso não significa que os jogos para interagir uns com os outros. Basta que eu faria o meu melhor para ajudá-lo a estabelecer confiança e cooperação entre diferentes contadores.
Gostaria também olhar para continuar expandindo o que o atual CBC começou com a movimentação geral do enredo do gênero frente a cair mais em linha com as mais recentes materiais publicados. Lobisomem: o Apocalipse tem muito atraente meta plot, e gostaria de ajudar a ver mais do que tornar-se realizados no OWbN. Penso também nos esforçamos para garantir que mais Tribal e Raça parcelas ocorrer. Depois de tudo, independentemente de Mudar raça, tribo desempenha um papel muito importante de quem eles são. Para as raças que têm diferentes tribos, que é.
